The Association (founded in 1981) is an international, educational, and
professional organization dedicated to the advancement of the knowledge,
theory, and quality of learning and teaching at all levels with information
technology.
International Society for Technology in Education

ISTE promotes appropriate uses of information technology to support and
improve learning, teaching and administration in K-12 education and teacher
education.
Office of Educational Technology

The purpose of this Ed Department office is to provide leadership to the
nation in using technology to promote achievement of the National Education
Goals and to increase opportunities for all students to achieve State
content and challenging State student performance standards, by supporting
the overall national technology policy and consulting with other Federal
